It does surprise me ... I just don't get that the ENTIRE WORLD accepts that the pink ribbon is public domain (free to use), yet the morons in our trade-mark office allowed it.

And what I find irritating about the Canadian organization is that they seem to have trolls driving around and telling retailers to REMOVE the pink ribbon from their store front -- now that's not protecting their self interest -- that's darn right ridiculous.

The Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation doesn't "own" the pink ribbon and they shouldn't bully retailers that exist to help breast cancer survivors.

When I walked into Susan's store, I did not automatically presume I was walking into a store run by the charity -- now that's cajones if the Canadian charity thinks that we're all idiots and make such a connection.

How could this surprise you? Everyone has a claim to everything and anything these days. Forget that sharing and using the pink ribbon promotes, in a positive manner, a worthy cause by which the cancer society benefits. Everyone has to protect their self interests...
